Targit, a marketing agency, wanted an innovative way of announcing the launch of their new website. A striking e-card was designed inviting people to visit their new website. Targit provided us with a list of recipients, including names and email addresses, and Zebedee executed the mailout.
To avoid sending the e-card as an attachment, which can be blocked by some email software, the e-card was saved on the server, and the email pulled the image from the server. This gave the impression that the e-card was imbedded in the email. Recipients could click on the e-card to be transferred to the new site. This transfer was instantaneous, and meant that attachments could be completely avoided.
The challenge: Designing a creative e-card whilst keeping the file size to an absolute minimum so that the e-card loads quickly on screen. To do this, the card was built using vectors and web-friendly colours.
